Bill Cook writes: Stirling needed to win by a large margin to have a chance of winning the league and managed it eventually after the final game on Board 1 was decided with Colin resigning after a long defence a piece down but making a final mistake with little time left. Dave and Kenny won a piece early on and my game was the first to finish once I had won the exchange and was two pawns up. David was a piece up with a passed pawn about to queen for some time before catching Sandy in a mating net. Thanks to Badgers hosting the match - nice to travel in the sunshine for a change!
