Dave writes:- The computer doesn't reckon there was ever much in it - I felt I had a slight edge but probably Fabio thought he had one too! I offered the draw after the repetition and Fabio accepted immediately. I'm wanting to keep my N on d4 if possible, to prevent any e5 ideas due to Nf5, but I didn't want his Rc5 becoming too active. Ideally I was wanting to push the f-pawn and create attacking chances on the K-side, and there were also ideas along the b3-g8 diagonal, but it felt risky and Fabio's a strong opponent so in the end I was happy to settle for the draw. Later in the season with a few more games under my belt I might well have carried on to see where it might lead.
